The Artemis Crest
Stories of Wonder
For stories that dare to venture further.
The Artemis Crest celebrates the boundless possibilities of imagination, the courage to explore unfamiliar worlds and the spirit of adventure.
We welcome stories that transport readers beyond the familiar, into enchanted realms, extraordinary landscapes and worlds shaped by myth, magic, mystery and possibility.
From epic fantasy and fairy tales to thrilling adventures and imaginative speculative fiction, we seek stories that kindle curiosity, challenge expectations and invite readers to venture beyond the boundaries of the ordinary.
We believe in the power of imagination, the courage to explore the unknown and the extraordinary journeys that remind us just how far a story can take us.

Our Editorial Philosophy
Challenge minds. Inspire wonder. Tell stories responsibly.
Athenaion Publishing believes that stories should expand the imagination, challenge perspectives and invite readers to explore worlds beyond their own.
We welcome works that question conventions, explore unfamiliar ideas, confront difficult realities and give voice to perspectives that deserve to be heard. Imagination should have room to roam, and storytelling should never be limited by the boundaries of the familiar.
However, creative freedom carries responsibility. We do not seek to publish works that promote hatred, glorify abuse, encourage exploitation or dehumanise others.
We believe stories can explore darkness without celebrating cruelty, portray conflict without endorsing hatred, and challenge readers without compromising human dignity.
Our commitment is to imaginative storytelling, responsible authorship and respect for the people and worlds our stories represent.
Editorial Integrity & Author Responsibility
Athenaion Publishing values creative freedom, intellectual curiosity and responsible authorship. We expect authors to approach their subjects with care, exercise sound judgement and take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their work.
Authors are responsible for researching and verifying factual claims within their manuscripts. This is particularly important when writing about medical, psychological, clinical, legal, scientific, historical or other specialist subjects.
Information presented as fact must be supported by credible research and appropriate sources. Authors should not rely on assumptions, speculation or fabricated information presented as fact. Where creative liberties are taken, these should be distinguishable from factual claims.
During our review and editorial processes, Athenaion Publishing may question statements, request clarification, identify apparent inconsistencies or ask authors to reconsider material that raises concerns. However, we do not undertake independent fact-checking or specialist research on behalf of authors. The responsibility for verifying the content remains with the author.
Our editorial input is intended to support the integrity and quality of a manuscript, not replace the author's responsibility for the work they submit.
Ultimately, the author's name appears on the book. We expect authors to stand behind their research, their words and the work they choose to publish.
Content Boundaries
Athenaion Publishing recognises that fantasy and speculative fiction often explore unfamiliar worlds, mythical beings, supernatural relationships, conflict, violence and morally complex characters. We welcome imaginative storytelling that challenges conventions and explores the extraordinary possibilities of fictional worlds.
Relationships between fictional adult humanoid or sentient beings, including different supernatural species, are not excluded simply because they differ from human relationships or conventional expectations. Such stories will be considered according to their narrative context, treatment of consent and overall content.
We recognise that fantasy may explore violence, oppression, cruelty, coercion and other difficult realities. These subjects are not automatically excluded when they serve a meaningful narrative purpose. However, we do not accept works that promote or glorify hatred, exploitation, abuse or sexual violence.
We do not publish sexualised depictions of minors, sexual exploitation of children, or eroticised depictions of sexual acts involving real animals. We also do not accept works that promote or glorify non-consensual sexual acts.
Our editorial consideration focuses on the distinction between imaginative or challenging portrayals and the endorsement or celebration of harm.
We welcome dark worlds, unconventional relationships, complex antagonists and stories that challenge readers. Our boundaries exist to protect human dignity and prevent the promotion or glorification of exploitation and abuse, not to restrict the imagination.
